Executive Biographies

Appointed Divisional Vice President Energy Management (AltaGas) in 2008, Bill Swan has been the President of ECNG ENERGY since 2003. He has experience in both the natural gas and electricity markets—successfully managing various companies and projects in Ontario and Alberta. Prior to joining ECNG, Mr. Swan was Director of Eastern Canada for Engage Energy where he skilfully navigated their entry into the electricity market. Bill Swan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University.

David W. Shaw holds Chemical Engineering and M.B.A degrees from the University of Windsor, with fifteen years of industrial experience in both technical and commercial sectors in the petrochemical industry. Part of the energy consultant and management field for the last eight years, Mr. Shaw has worked with many of the largest industrial firms in Canada and has also served on the Board of Directors for both the Association of Major Power Consumers in Ontario (AMPCO) and the Industrial Gas Users Association (IGUA).

A graduate of Seneca College and York University, Bill Snee joined ECNG in 1997. The 26 years prior, Mr. Snee worked in sales and marketing for Enbridge Consumers Gas. Throughout his 37 years in the industry, Bill has been a major contributor in the de-regulation of natural gas and its effects on the utilities involved. He has been leading the Client Services division at ECNG ENERGY since 2000.

Jason Craig graduated from Carleton University in 1996 with an Honours degree in Political Science. He worked in various supervisory positions within Enbridge Consumers Gas including Gas Control, Gas Supply and Transportation Contracting groups. Jason joined ECNG in 2001, working primarily with its Association Partners. In 2008, Jason was promoted to Director of Client Services and Sales and is now managing all of ECNG ENERGY’s Partnership Programs.

Bill Killeen has been with ECNG ENERGY since 2003 and is now in his 21st year in the energy industry in Ontario. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario and its Ivey School of Business with degrees in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration, Bill is Chairperson of the Ontario Energy Association’s (OEA) Energy Markets Joint Sector Committee, as well as a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) and the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE).

Angelo P. Fantuz holds a Chemical Engineering degree and an M.B.A. from the University of Windsor, with 23 years of working experience in both technical and commercial sectors in the automotive and energy industries. Prior to joining ECNG ENERGY in 2003, Mr. Fantuz was employed by Union Gas Limited where he was responsible for securing and delivering natural gas to Ontario from all major supply basins in North America.

John Tolhurst studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Western Ontario. John has more than ten years of experience in the energy sector dealing with both the natural gas and electricity markets, and has held various managerial positions in the areas of accounting, operations and IT. At ECNG ENERGY, John manages the Operations and Business Reporting groups to ensure smooth and efficient administration of all of our clients.

A 1997 graduate from Mohawk College, Business Accounting Cooperative Education Program, Rosemary Laurenti received her Management Studies Certificate with Honours in April of 2002 and her Certified Bookkeeper Certification in April of 2006. She is currently pursuing her CMA designation. Rosemary joined ECNG ENERGY in 2002 as a Senior Accountant and was promoted to a supervisory role in 2004. She was appointed to her most recent role in 2008. Her team is responsible for all accounting activities.

Emmanuel Caisse has a Business Administration degree from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) and a Masters of Business Administration from Queen’s University. Prior to joining ECNG in 2007, he worked for 12 years in client services, operations management and marketing for Cision AB—an international communications management firm. Emmanuel was promoted to his current role which includes marketing, sales support and business performance in 2008.

Dave Duggan has a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University. With 15 years of experience in the energy industry, he is one of Canada’s leading authorities in the field of energy commodity purchasing and market fundamentals—specializing in both the Ontario and Alberta power markets, the Western Canadian natural gas market and the Eastern Canadian natural gas market. Dave and his team members provide objective procurement advice to some of Canada’s largest energy consumers.
